Our first planned Common Club Airplane event (Vegas Loops) was held on April 27th after a delay from the scheduled date of the 19th. The weather forecast was questionable but turned out to be pretty good with just a bit of wind to deal with. Ten pilots joined the competition with 2 or 3 other members present to help out and observe the competition. This was the first event from the “luck” category… our next event is scheduled for May 17th and will be drawn from our list of “skill” events.
Here are the results from this event:

Keep in mind that the points accumulate through the season with 7 scheduled events and the best of the 5 added to your point total for the year. That means there is plenty of time for more pilots to join in and compete for the 2025 season championship!
Even if you don’t expect to win the season, the CCA events are a great way to develop your skills as a pilot and all of the competitors are more than willing to help out and share their expertise. So come on out and give it a try!
Also keep in mind we can always use help running the event and it typically only lasts for a couple hours so there is plenty of time to fly before and/or after.
